Club Tournament Ad Book Requirement
Just like last year, the team has a $500 ad minimum requirement. That means that the team needs to sell at least $500 worth of ads by 3/1. By meeting this requirement the club gave our team $1,300 towards tournaments which we used for EB tournament and Winter leagues, as well as our Tuesday night sessions with Coach Craig. We want try to sell as much as possible for 2 reasons. First reason is that it helps the club, but the second reason is that the more we sell the bigger the kickback to the team. If we sell $2,000 worth of ads, we get 40% back towards the team. That easily pays for one of the elite tournaments we will be doing.
Like last year, we need everyone to help. Every player must sell at least $50 worth of ads. This can be achieved by selling business ads or family ads. I have attached both forms. Please note that if you have a sibling and want the credit split by both teams, the split must equal at least $50 credit to the Heat. Say you sell a soccer sponsor ad for $65 and split it across 2 teams that would be $32.50 credit to the Heat. You still need to sell $17.50 more towards Heat credit.

Work Bond Reminder
Just a reminder that everyone needs to work at least 4 hours to work off their work bond. At least 2 need to be at the tournament. As I get more information, I’ll pass it along. Please note that the 4 total hours is per family. So if you have 2 siblings playing you don’t need 8 hours, it is still just 4.
Upcoming Fees
As outlined in the offer letter we have some upcoming fees due.
· $175 per player for Winter Training. Everyone needs to have at least $175 in their player accounts by 1/13 as we start winter training soon. Mark Hoyt will send out the balances this week. Please give him the money to get your account balance to at least $175.
· $100 per player for Craig’s Spring training fee. This will be due by 3/2/2012. You’ll need at least $100 in your player account by then.
· Upcoming Tournaments, US Club State Cup Ref Fees, and scrimmage ref fees. This will depend on how many games we get and what tournaments. We’ll probably looking about $800 per tournament for 2-3 tournaments plus $55 per State Cup game and Scrimmage. That will just be divided out by player.
Fundraising
There really hasn’t been much in this front besides the standing Jersey orders and World Series Pool we did. Now that Holidays are over, the Jerseys usually don’t generate anything for some time. We did make enough to help offset some of the winter costs.
We would like to do a Super Bowl Pool which could generate $1,000 to the team maybe more with buyouts, but we need everyone to participate. We would like everyone to sell at least 6 boxes at $25 per box, or you can buy out for $100. The buyout will go directly to the team account.
Open for suggestions. If someone can host for a poker tournament that would be awesome!
