MTSC has opened the registration for the Spring 2012 In Town Soccer season. In order to ensure timely team formation, coach recruitment, and ordering of uniforms, it is important that you register your child as soon as possible for the spring season. Regular, online registration will be open through 11:59pm on January 5, 2012. Starting on January 6, 2012, late fees will apply.
Don’t delay and miss out! Starting on January 22, we will close regular registration for the spring season, and will begin to form a waiting list. There is no guarantee that your child will be placed on a team if you miss the regular or late registration period. For the first time this season, we will register the waiting list via our online system as well. However, this does not guarantee placement on a team.
FAQS
For the Spring 2012 season, all games will be played on Sundays, with the exception of Mother’s Day and Father’s Day weekends, in which games will be played on Saturdays. Make ups (due to rain) may be rescheduled for a Saturday or a weeknight, once we have enough daylight in the evening.
Divisions and teams will be formed based on numbers of registrants. In the fall, divisions included Shrimps (coed, 4 yr olds), Munchkins (coed, K), Juniors (boys/girls separate, 1-2nd grade), Intermediates (boys/girls separate, 3-4th grade), and Hotshots (coed, 5-6th grade). The 3M league is for 7-12th grade, although in Monroe, we typically only have enough players for form teams in 7-9th grade. The 3M league teams play against teams from other towns in the surrounding area, and boys and girls are separate. More information on all divisions and format can be found on the website: www.monroesoccer.com.
Required apparel & equipment: MTSC will provide one game uniform, soccer balls for the coaches to use during games and practices. Parents are responsible for equipping their children with proper soccer shoes (cleats) and shinguards.
The PTA programs are offered IN ADDITION TO the team experience through the In Town soccer program. Players who wish to participate in the PTA training programs MUST be registered and participating on an In Town or 3M team in order to be eligible to participate in PTA (not including PTA Little Kickers). For additional information about the PTA programs, please visit our website.
