MTSC Executive Board Nominations
The MTSC will be accepting nominations for the Executive Board starting now and running through the May General Membership Meetings.  The Nominating Chair is Joe O’Grady.  You may forward all nominations to him at jwogradyjr@comcast.net.  Positions are President, Executive Vice President, 1st VP (player/coach development oriented), 2nd VP (Rec oriented), Treasurer, and Secretary. 
 
Anyone may submit a nomination, but only members in good standing may vote.  A member in good standing is an individual who has attended at least 3 GMM meetings within the last year (June ’07 - May ’08).  The Secretary has the attendance list from each meeting and will provide the list of eligible voters to Joe O’Grady.
 
The General Membership Meeting will be held on May 14th at the Monroe Community Center at 6:45pm.
PARKING at Thompson Park

There is NO PARKING allowed on any grass area at Thompson Park.

All cars must use the parking lots, regardless of on which field their child is playing.  This is the rules for use of the Park, as determined by the County.  Anyone not adhering to these rules will be ticketed. 

It is the coach’s responsibility to ensure that parents park in appropriate areas.

Travel Tryouts for the 2008 / 2009 season

Travel Tryouts for the 2008 / 2009 season are scheduled for Wed May 28th and Thursday May 29th.  It will be mandatory that all players attend both days unless other arrangements have been made.  This year the club will be adding some extra non-biased evaluators to ensure fair placement. Some teams may also conduct goalie try-outs which will be evaluated by our professional goalie trainer.

Interesting in coaching a travel team?  We are now accepting applications.  Please submit all applications and questions to Bill Craver at craverb@comcast.net.  We are always looking for extra coaches.  In particular we think we’ll need coaches for the following age groups:

  • U14/13 Girls
  • U14/13 Boys
  • U9 Boys - 2nd Team
  • U8 - Boys
  • U8 - Girls
19th Annual Spring Kickoff

Thanks to all those teams who attended, and we hope you enjoyed a fun filled day of games and activities.  New this year was the 3v3 UK Elite Challenge, Juggling Competition and Goalie Competition.  All the players seemed to have a great time with these extra activities.

 

We’d like to give a special thank you to our Tournament Director Mike Hommer for stepping up and organizing our 19th Annual Spring tournament.  In addition we’d also like to thank the numerous committee members, Ed Pritzlaff, Lisa Senkus, Dina Morin, Laureen Pannullo, Mary Lou Jarosiewicz, Sue Parisen, Joe O’Grady, Bobbin Paskell, Steve Haider, Jay Harris and all numerous parents who helped us out with the many duty functions.

UK Elite Camps to be held in Thompson Park

MTSC is pleased to announce that we will be hosting various UK Elite Soccer Camps through the course of the season and summer.  Please check out the camps by clicking on the link to the left  UK Elite Camps

Currently their are 2 Petite Camps (Ages 3-5) running every Tuesday and Thursday in Thompson Park

The next Camps are Summer Camps (Ages 5-14):

July 14th - 18th from 5-8PM - Cost is $150 and includes Reebok Ball and T-Shirt

July 28th - August 1st from 9am - 12pm - Cost is $150 and includes Reebok Ball and T-Shirt
